The most significant one is Dad-bod Thoth, as I managed to track down the other eight images in that booklet, sourced to BDK. (check it out, Druillet fans!) The other reconstructed posts are my reviews of Alas and Esther Verkest, and I must admit, I enjoyed hosting the image content on Reddit itself. (thanks, spez 😊)

Oh yeah, and as for my question to y’all, let me explain:

On my end, I’m not a huge fan of republishing fixed-up posts, as it 1) adds to the overall post bloat (Lemmy doesn’t allow me to completely delete anything), but also 2) because it can break cross-links in some cases.

OTOH, the greater point is for this stuff to be seen and enjoyed, and with a relatively innocuous update like this, I would guess that many readers doing quick scroll-throughs would miss the good content, assuming they hadn’t seen it before. Then again, maybe I’m wrong about that…

Any opinions?

    I’d say repost. A lot of people left, a lot of new people joined, and even if we were here we might have missed the first time posting.

      I guess what I should do then is to delete all content from those original posts, and redirect to such upcoming re-created posts.

      The thing that bums me out is that so far, it looks like I’ll need to host the newly-uploaded image content at Reddit, which… will probably get my 9yr old acct there eventually banned.

      Haha, I know everyone here would enjoy that, but 1) I’d like to go out there on my own terms, and 2) I’d no longer be able to host image content there, which is still a pretty disastrous, ongoing issue…

        I dunno… might as well leave the old content/posts up, just as a record that they were posted there at one point. Just edit it to give a pointer to the new post.

        I know you had a reason for not uploading images to lemmy… what was it again?

        Another possibility is you could try uploading to a pixelfed instance. the whole point of pixelfed is to host images. and it’s federated so it should be possible. let’s see…

        If you can see the image above then you can host images there, since this comes from a pixelfed post. I’m not sure if that’s the “right” way to do it, you might want to look into it a bit more. Maybe DM the person who made this post: https://slrpnk.net/post/17174541 or this post: https://slrpnk.net/post/17740979 What you’re doing is different, but they should be able to give you advice.
