Even though I haven’t “used” reddit in well over a year, I still put Reddit at the end of some of my searches. It even comes up as a recommendation on Google.
Someone told me to check out the fednews where USA federal workers are discussing so many changes lately with the new administration. Bluesky had like 2-3 posts total, Lemmy had zero, and Reddit was where that entire sub was located.
So yeah, if you want the content, you go to where the people who are discussing it are. Otherwise you have to do without. Which you can’t always do.
Yeah, despite quitting reddit completely, I often find myself putting site:reddit.com at the start of my searches, especially if it’s something niche and opinionated.
