@[email protected] it doesn’t matter. You’re right, they are smaller and the only way to make them bigger is to increase the zoom level. That’s all.

  There is a possible fix!
  
  Go to “about:config” in the adress bar
  
  Search for “browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabLayouts.variant”
  
  Toggle both entries for variant-a and variant-b to false
  
  Variant-B was “true” for me.
