Ok, could someone explain to me why being a former president is reason enough to be given ongoing access to classified information in the first place?
they are excellent resources for a sitting president to speak to for advice on a given area of the world, or experience with a particular country or leadership
I think its so the current president can call and discuss to get insight from the former presidents
