Scientists have known for years that measles can alter the immune system – but the latest evidence suggests it's less of a mild tweaking, and more of a total reset.

So, even if you had been immune, through previous illness, vaccination or via maternal milk, you may not be anymore after having measles.

I had never heard this until today, and it’s an absolutely horrifying thought.

    Yeah, people think the right to free expression means they have a right to have whatever stupid shit they believe in enshrined in secular law here, sadly. And, for the most part, they’re right.

      I dunno. So I’m legally not even allowed as a tax paying adult to smoke a plant in my own home but if I have a child I can recklessly endanger it’s life and or cognitive function as well as the wellness then of my entire community because freedom? Seems like your secular laws are strongly biased towards stupidity.

        They are indeed. That’ll happen when the vast majority of your country’s population is religious and doesn’t actually believe the shit they can see with their own two eyes, but believe fervently in shit that doesn’t exist.
