It is unclear, however, if the federal employee violated any laws by refusing entry. While members of Congress do have an oversight role over federal agencies, that power is typically exercised through hearings and enforcement of policies.

And while the Constitution grants Congress the power to establish federal government offices, it is unclear whether individual members are granted unfettered access to those buildings.

NYT got that boot ALL the way down their gullet.

Really. So it’s fine for unelected people to come in and dismantle governmental bodies, but the elected representatives can’t come in to meet with the people who are not answering their calls? Want a definition of authoritarianism, there it is.

Too bad dems have shown to be spineless. The lack of aggressive tactics is one of the many reasons we’ve gotten to this point.

I don’t know if people are fully aware of what the department of education does. It essentially makes sure that every school is following the federal laws that have been written in regards to fair access education, but it also distributes billions of dollars to public schools. If you’ve ever heard the term “title one school.” That is a school, where the majority of the students live in a state of poverty, and are therefore entitled to federal funds. If we allow the GOP to just completely take down the department of education, it could cripple most of your inner city schools.

Without the DoE schools can teach A is B and thats fine. Theres no standards for reading, math, or anything. While thats not entirely true either there will still be standards we know everyone in the bible belt is instantly getting a religious takeover and won’t be able to tell reality from falsehood ever again.

Whose down to dress up as uncle Sam and assist our DoE friends with reentering the building? Might put a stop to some traitors while we’re at it and show 'em who the real daddy is if thats their kink.
