I used to have an air conditioned case, back around 2000. It took a few seconds on start for the compressor to get up to speed and the nose it made was amazing. Once the block on the CPU was cold enough, the MB was powered and away we go. It ran at I want to say 30 or 40 degrees below room temperature?

Took me a couple seconds to realize you’re not living in the desert and running an icy cold CPU, and meant degrees fahrenheit.

That would be a really cold CPU in Celsius, too true!

How does the heat dissipation/exhaust on that air conditioner work? Is there a hose that gets put out the window? Or is it supposed to be mounted on a sill?

It just exhausts into the room. The air conditioner’s job is to supply a continuous flow of cold refrigerant to the GPU cooler which it’s able to do at a very high rate. The AC’s fan has the job of keeping the compressor cool by blowing air across it. In this setup it’s just using the room air to cool the compressor and exhausting the warm air into the room. You could mount it in a window sill to blow that air outside if you want, though in winter time that’s a waste of heat.

how hot is that room going to get with hot air blasting out the back of that air conditioner, heat doesn’t just go away, it has to be dissapated into the air, whatever room this setup is in will get really hot really quickly, there’s a reason portable air conditioners have exaust hoses that have to be put into drop ceilings or windows, it’s because ac’s put out enormous amounts of hot air

Jesus, how often do you move your setup?

I don’t, but this guy probably does since i think it’s just for testing and is probably only setup temporarily. Either way if I had an air conditioner like this i would appreciate the wheels because they are super heavy.
