As in, you’re optimistic that the aristocrats will be benevolent.

you could have just said it’s like the New Deal. as the article mentions - it’s a bad name - really not worth associating yourself with socialism as that’s inextricably linked to lots of bad governments
so it is indeed based on social democracy with lots of other good ideas. i hope strengthening and protecting democracy are also part of them.
