Still better than a perishable and rental Gros Michel that perishes before it can go extinct. But yeah, I’d rather have an ante 1 banana last at least two antes while I built out my Joker collection.

Yup unfortunately run died on Ante 2 with $3 or so, made only one on small blind and then failed big blind. No Cavendish
Taking fat mike over red card is a choice.
Early Red Card can be a run killer, so I can understand the gamble in picking Gros Michel instead. My ideal situation is ante 1 Gros Michel, build a collection of decent Jokers, have it go extinct around ante 3-4, and fish for Cavendish.
I’m not blaming, the chance it expires is always there. I just thought it was funny that it was expired after literally a single hand that I would have won without it anyways. But I lost on ante 2 anyways, red card wouldn’t have helped since I had no money after skipping the first blind and getting a bad eternal joker. No money on round 1 ante 2 meant no interest and I didn’t earn much and then died next round.
Fair enough. I really underrated red card for quite a while. I actually just won a run on checkered with just red card and joker stencil.
