Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said his country won’t accept peacekeeping forces from Nato countries in Ukraine under any peace deal, following high-level talks with the US in Saudi Arabia.
“Any appearance by armed forces under some other flag does not change anything. It is of course completely unacceptable,” he said. Russia and the US said they had agreed to appoint teams to start negotiating the end of the war.
“Today is the first step of a long and difficult journey, but an important one”, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said following the meeting.
What… Uhhh… What are they going to do about it? Bomb London and eat nukes?
I know it’s escalatory but sometimes you have to accept a little escalation to show you’re willing. Just like a certain “Axis” in history they’re pushing because they think everyone is too afraid of an actual war. And appeasement directly led to their war because the other powers waited until it was so far gone it could only be war.
But escalating a little to egg their face now, (not bloody it), it punctures that belief.
They gonna order his bitch Trump, the wannabe emperor of the US, to pressure NATO. And the bitch will oblige.
I don’t think Europe cares.
US is still unbelievably rich and has an enormous army that they love to use. Europe will not bend the knee, but the shit will be very unpleasant after that.
Oh there’s no danger of the US trying to fight Europe militarily. Just the US going isolationist again.
I don’t know anymore. Maybe not outright fight with the EU at first, but I completely envision US army invading something on the European continent to help their best friend Putin. With Musk in charge and Trump also running around like a headless chichen, I don’t think I can be sure about anything anymore.
I’m pretty sure the American people would shut down D.C. To be honest any military adventurism is going to be hard for them to pull off after 20 years of fighting. But especially against our oldest allies.
