    Something that was getting shared a lot once (not too sure how true) that the whole “lion is the king of the jungle” thing was pushed by the Church in Europe to counter the pagan cult of the bear. The bear was basically worshiped as an embodiment of strength, saying that he’s not the strongest tarnished his image.

      That’s interesting! I associate the term with religiosity, but I’m not sure if that’s just me or something I was specifically told growing up.

        My research tells me a bear would have the upper hand against a lion, but not against a tiger… unless it was a polar bear

            Tigers hunt bears. The only bears tigers don’t hunt are polar bears. It’s not deep research.

              Idk, if you dig a little deeper you will also read that the evidence of them being hunted on purpose isn’t conclusive. Also the tiger ends up losing often.
