I really want to cut ties with Reddit. I keep reading this stuff to keep me motivated to cut those ties.

Yes, love that I found a new home. But it is an adjustment and the bugs of the apps can be frustrating. But so happy to have a place to engage and to make post. I love Lemmy.

Let us be the best place to be.

The question is if it’s because of the current scale or the systems in place (the moderation culture of all of us owning our own experience). I think it’s both. As more users join in the fun, we’ll see more of the obnoxious trends we don’t miss about reddit, BUT it will still be tempered by the system of everyone owning their own experience

Honestly, you don’t need any app. I’m using Firefox on mobile and it’s way better than the app I tried.

The Lemmy web app is progressive, and you can “install” it on your android phone’s home screen easily enough. But it’s still a web app, and it’s kind of janky, compared to a “real” app.

Though, I’m comparing it to things like Reddit Sync and Apollo, which are fantastic.
