    I thought the Pope was supposed to be infallible. If he says not to hate people, aren’t they supposed to go along with it?

      The bible also says that you should forgive people’s sins and be nice to each other but they don’t do that either.

      For the right wing, religion has only ever been a screen for them to justify being a cunt. Cherry picking and deliberately misrepresenting it’s texts to oppress others. But like most things they cling to, when it stops easily supporting their cunty world views or stops being a useful scapegoat or authority to appeal to, they will reject it and replace it with something else, or just twist it to fit the new narrative.

      That’s why so many religions have multiple competing sects that have throughout history been at each others throats.
