Bahrain
No mechanical DNFs in testing. Even with consistent rules that’s pretty impressive from everyone. I’m hoping it’s as competitive as 2024 was– across the field
Oh hey they switched the timings font to be consistent with the countdown today. 👍🏻
Long-time watchers of Horner will note the bullshit-o-meter blaring when Baretto asked him about how well the Ford project was going.
Anything noteworthy this session so far?
Anyone got lucky with a F1TV 4K stream yesterday/today?
Is f1tv offering 4k now?
On a test basis for now, probably there will be a new premium tier coming soon. I just checked and I think I got the 4K stream because the tv says hdr (cannot check resolution) The on boards cams are still lower resolution.
I’m feeling a little bamboozled by the kick car. The photos before testing that fade looked great. On track it looks like a hard line. They really need to fix that. It looks like they just forgot to paint it from certain angles.
Testing times are completely meaningless, but I do feel like redbull is gonna be struggling for the first few races. It looks like they barely touched the car…
Looks can be deceiving especially when we can’t see what’s going on underneath these cars.
I’ve always found the best gauge in testing is to just see how the car handles on the track.
Does it look like it’s on rails? Does the driver look at ease while corning? These are signs the car is stable and will return good results in race conditions. If the car is unstable and the driver looks to be fighting the wheel on every turns, that’s your best indicator there’s problems.
Anyways I’ve been enjoying checking in on the testing here and there. Hamilton in the Ferrari is looking pretty spicy.
I mean in Max’s hands a dodge viper would probably look like it’s on rails. Liam was the only one to spin day 1 IIRC.
Honestly I don’t care who wins this year as long as it’s actually a good fight. I just don’t want another blowout season.
