Funny how I use TB on desktop as long as it exists and always wanted a android version and I even knew that is was in development and still this is the first time I heard that it was released. A little cross promotion wouldn’t hurt.

I’ve been using it, it’s basically still K9 mail with minor changes. It doesn’t really have the features you see in the desktop client.

They might promote it more when it’s got the features you’d expect from a mobile client, like proper search with a local index.

It’s a pretty popular desktop client, and the migration of K9 into Tbird for Android was a good thing.

I’ve used K9 for over a decade, until at some point work required me to have an exchange account. At that time I switched to Nine, since outlook is hot garbage.

Still using k9mail since fairemail causes me oom issues.

I still find myself looking for other emails tho since i need something that supports mailing list stuff better.

There’s Betterbird, though I don’t know exactly what makes it better, except for still allowing to manually load external content in encrypted mails, which Thunderbird just removed for whatever stupid reason.
