I’m not sure what kind of narrative is being painted here, but I’m not hearing any complaints about Luigi from universal healthcare advocates.

Try leaving a comment about voting for democrats to pass healthcare reform in a Luigi Mangione discussion, a bunch of Tankies will pile on and give you shit. They don’t believe in Democrats, they don’t believe in political reform. They support violence.

Furthermore, all of that funding for Luigi’s defence would have been better spent on campaigns for healthcare reform. Hundreds of thousands of dollars for some kid who graduated Ivy League schooling with multiple degrees and a father who runs Mangione Enterprises.

How much money do you think will go into health reform? Luigi got like $500k in donations from what I can tel through my search.

Every dollar to support Bernie or the DNC. Average donations are very low for the most progressive politicians.

Nationwide its a pittance but it could easily turn a state race around.

500k would cover 2/3 of the hospital bills from one of my children’s births, or half the entire cost.

Do you know if you are connected to a monitor, and they move you and connect you to the same monitor in another room, it counts as performing a second test?

Also, when medical students walk by and observe you, each student bills for observing the nurse care for you? 2x a day, each of 23 days, by 12 students.

Since you are a mod, I will respect your wishes and not use any such templates again. Are there any other banned templates we should know about?

I think this particular format would be used by opposing views to such an extent that if a person saw it here for the first time then they wouldn’t find a source back to pebbles unless we explicitly mentioned him.

To be clear, none of the words in this image are his nor did I credit him.

The meme is about the trial of Luigi Mangione, on trial for the murder of a healthcare CEO.

Tankies are using the narrative of Luigi being some sort of folk hero to promote both-sides-bad centrism and advocate for violence in the USA.

If you think you can solve US Healthcare by voting blue then you’re likely to get into an argument with Luigi Cultists.

Actual universal healthcare advocates would see that the discourse Mangione brought into the public eye is good for awareness and involvement.

Anyone who sides with CEOs and claims to be a universal healthcare advocate is a scy-op. A system with universal healthcare wouldn’t need obscenely overpaid CEOs.

I guarantee you that nobody has become more informed as a result of this. And even if a few conservatives discovered their side was against public medical funding, and not by their side actually gutting public medical funding as we speak, it wouldn’t change the way they vote.

Also, the word is psy-op. The psy stands for psychological operation, not science operation.

It’s a little hard to discern victims or villains on any side of the Luigi Mangione trial. I’m not sure who you’re referring to in your comment.

He’s referring to the guy defending the CEOs. He’s defending them to not let them play the victim

That didn’t really clarify much for me. The image doesn’t include anybody defending CEOs. The CEO and the Healthcare Reformist are ideologically opposed in matters aside from being against pointless murders. It’s only funny in the context of Luigi Mangione supporters being opposed to them both.
