    Americans will be rethinking sanctions on other countries when they see who is actually suffering.

      Unfortunately it likely won’t be the billionaires suffering, so I’m not sure how much meaningful rethinking will be going on unless pressure on them is relentless.

      These tariffs are already wildly unpopular in the US, the problem is that our government has been fully captured by the nazis and there’s not much that can be done about it. Most people I know sre hoping that the international response will be harsh enough to spur meaningful change, though nobody really thinks that will happen.

        That’s true in the sense that the range of possible remedies has shrunk drastically. It does not mean we can’t execute the remedies that remain, however.
