what he’s complaining about is called Open Source. the entire point of Open Source is to be an alternative to the GPL because people found its terms too strict to work with. ignoring years of history for the sake of a gotcha term with misogynist connotations is shitty.

nah, i can compartmentalise just fine. internet strangers occupy a very small part of my day. licensing more so.
i could do a whole paragraph about my rationale on the term but i have a feeling it would benefit neither of us so i won’t spend the energy.
