Nothing they’re doing is about saving money, it’s about destroying the government.
So they keep doing incredibly stupid things that are the equivalent of setting money on fire, so that money can’t be used for normal government operations.
It is also about the theater, and the normalization of having the military physically putting their hands on immigrants. They want the National Guard of red states doorkicking for immigrants eventually, P2025 lays that out plainly.
Their plan isn’t for military, it’s for cops and “volunteers” to do it.
The military is a lot harder to force to do those things, a long chain of command means there’s a lot of people who can stop it
That’s what they’re doing with the whole federal government right now, they’re trying to act like OPM is in charge of everyone and can skip entire chains and interact with “boots on the ground” feds directly.
