Rules

Don’t be a jerk. Life is already strange enough without unnecessary hostility. Be kind, like a talking cat might be.
No -isms. This isn’t a place for prejudice, parallel worlds or otherwise. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination will disappear like a woman in a Murakami novel.
Stay (mostly) on topic. Murakami’s fiction and non-fiction are the heart of this place, but feel free to wander into Japanese, surrealist, or absurdist literature—just don’t get lost in a mysterious town with no exits.
Memes are fine, but put in some effort. A lazy meme is like a well with no bottom; you might think it’s deep, but it’s really just empty.
Use spoiler tags. Not everyone has reached the end of the well. Be mindful when discussing key plot points. (Sorry for the double well reference)
No self-promo or spam. If you wouldn’t find it in a jazz bar at 2 AM, it probably doesn’t belong here. (Really though, just be cool!)
