Same. Just so happened one of my kids woke me up and it was perfect timing to go take a look in the sky.

Windy af here, but got a glimpse of the dead red glow.

It looks like a typical wild fire moon around Los Angeles tbh

I got lucky - just happened to randomly wake up and remembered a coworker mentioning there would be an eclipse tonight around 2am. Dragged the wife out of bed just in time to catch the tail end of totality.

First time for me too!
