Summary

U.S. Senators Gallego and Kelly warned Arizona constituents about Republican plans to slash Medicaid funding.

At a Scottsdale town hall, they urged voters to pressure GOP lawmakers, emphasizing that 600,000 Arizonans could lose healthcare if proposed cuts pass.

House Republicans recently passed a budget resolution directing $880 billion in cuts from programs including Medicaid.

The senators advocated for grassroots activism to “grind them down,” despite audience concerns about Democratic strategies being too passive against Republican tactics.

“Our strategy is to play possum for two years and hope that Trump fucks up and the electoral process isn’t irretrievably corrupted by then.”

Don’t rely on the Democrats. Organize and get out in the streets.

Unless the highly paid, conservative, neo-libetal consultants they hired that lost them multiple elections tell them to realize this, Democratic leadership won’t.

    1. Nazis.
    2. A nominal opposition party that is lead by Nazi collaborators.

Unless more democratic leaders actually try to build grassroots, stuff like this is not very helpful. Because few have any clue how to do that, structures to rely on, support, or plans.

Unless any democratic leader offers a plan to make the red and purple states follow international guidelines for voting. All of this is just hot air.

So, doubly damned. And that not even getting into issues that would be very important were this a normal democracy. These issues don’t count now, which is the only reason efforts like this are not triply damned.
