Vance will visit Greenland on Thursday with a US delegation to tour historical sites, learn about the territory’s heritage and attend the national dogsled race, the White House said in a statement.
The delegation will return to the US on 29 March. The White House national security adviser, Mike Waltz, and the energy secretary, Chris Wright, will also travel to Greenland, visiting a US military base in Greenland, a US official said. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Just a thought: it has become increasingly popular to strip-search and detain visitors attempting to enter a country…
And to then send them to a tertiary country for holding….
Perhaps to The Hague.
Strip search right on the apron. They don’t even get to enter the terminal.
Refuse them visa entry and especially denied their security detail any weapons
They’ll leave
I don’t know how that works considering they can fly directly to US bases. I guess it could potentially stop them going off base, but i don’t know how that would be enforced. I’m basing this off of some familiarity with military folks in Japan I’ve met.
Which base? Thule
There are danish police up there and customs too. He whole community exists because of the base. The base is also an environmental mess so if the states were kicked out they would be able to wash their hands of it.
They could deny them access to the country at the immigration checkpoint.
