I opened Facebook for the first time in months yesterday, and I was surprised at the amount of pro-CPC posts and comments. It’s like the opposite of the pro-Carney posts I’ve seen here.
It seems like we’ve segmented ourselves by platform.
Isn’t Facebook mostly for retirees playing freemium games nowadays?
That and bots trying to show dissent and get the worst option voted into countries.
I was banned from Facebook because I was getting too responsive to the hate posts pushed by bot accounts. Facebook is a dead website. You’re not seeing real people post. It’s all bots and Ai now.
Same after 2 months off to see a live stream with a family member and wow, pure garbage.
I thought Facebook was supposed to personalize your information bubble?
Facebook has been manipulating information for years. It’s one of the big reasons that hate is on the rise honestly.
All I get are horny Reels, complaining from geriatric relatives, and ads stuff I searched for elsewhere. So the personalization is a bit weak.
Why would you expect anything else? I thought everyone knew that’s the type of thing you find on Facebook?
The interesting bit is that they have their own lil bubble over there, while we’re in our own lil bubble over here.
That’s fair. I haven’t had Facebook for at least a decade (definitely more haha). All I hear is just conservative boomers really occupy it anymore. But yeah, I guess I shouldn’t assume. We all know what that does. I’d agree with Lemmy being a bubble as well. Good point.
