That’s a neat detail, however in blue suit he was closer than ever in his behaviour to viltrumite Nolan.
Maybe the colors show that he tries to deny this behavior, but the world teaches him that things aren’t black or white.
I also remember someone saying that the black and blue suit is inspired by spider-man’s symbiote, although I can’t confirm that.
