Hello. We had rats about 10 years ago and would like to adopt them again, but we travel 2-3 times a year for about 10 days each time and we worry about what would happen to the rats. That stops us from adopting. But maybe you know some pet hotels that would take care of them if the need arise. I tried to find it myself but seems like all pet boardings only work with cats and dogs. Help.

Only being away for 10 days 2 or 3 times a year should be fine but you need to make sure they have a lot of food and water, especially in the summer. It would be much easier to give a friend a key to your flat/house and have them look after the rats while you are away! That way they get play time while you are gone as well!

I do not have any rats myself, but I worked at a veterinary clinic and we would board unusual pets on occasion. If you have a veterinary clinic in mind for your rats you may want to stop by or call and ask if they do any boarding, or if they have any ideas for you.
