A controversial city councillor is hoping to be the Member of Parliament for the People’s Party of Canada in Pickering-Brooklin. Lisa Robinson has repeatedly made headlines over the last several years. In 2021, she was ousted as a federal candidate for the Conservative Party for allegedly publishing Islamophobic posts, which she said at the time were faked. More recently, she’s made waves for her behaviour during her current term as a Pickering city councillor.
