I don’t really keep up to date, as a Sinnoh citizen, I’m unsure who we are rivals with, though people around town do seem to be recently joking about Johto.
Sinnoh’s rivalries from my knowledge tend to be domestic, based around what gods each may worship. Particularly Dialga vs Palkia worshipers.
Yeah, people will never get Kalos-Galar’s rivalry if they don’t come from another region with a similar rivalry lol

The same goes for Kalos-Paldea rivalry. They don’t hate each other, they just want to be better than the other.
