I don’t know why they would even bother including a LinkedIn button, like LinkedIn isn’t a social media site, people aren’t going to share random shit to it. Even email makes more sense than a linkedin button. Even though most people wouldn’t share things via Email anyway, it’s more plausible than sharing on LinkedIn.
It’s low cost to integrate social share providers in your article byline. I don’t personally do it, but folks do and publishers like it.
