Also very interested to try an ergo.

Current roster includes Keychron Q6 Max, Keychron Q13 max Alice , Keychron Q3 pro SE, RK gaming S98, 8bitDo C64 Edition with matching numpad, Monsgeek M2, and that’s all I can think of right now. I think I’m missing one.

QK100 if you can figure out how to get one without getting Trumped in the ass by tariffs.

Check ZSA website for ergo or checkout Nuphy website for traditional mechanical slim ones. Or checkout WASD keyboards for custom.

Agreed, my 2 Qs are beasts, and I love them. NGL though, I hate that the Alice doesn’t have a knob.

Anything less than full size/tkl and the keys they cut always end up annoying me.

I have a keychron K8 pro at work and a WASD code at home. I just learned that wasd went out of business the other day and now I’m very sad :( I’ve had my code for over 10 years and I have 0 plans on getting rid of it.

You’re kidding me. I’ve gone through so many mechanical keyboards, even really fancy ones like the CTRL and similar ones from Mass Drop and always come back to my WASD. It was my first and favorite. I guess there’s still Leopold.

Yeah, I had never heard of WASD until this very moment. Except for the acronym.

I had SUCH a horrible experience with my M2 and that company that I could not in good conscience ever purchase from them again. And I can’t even customize the keys because they don’t make a frigging JSON for the M2, because F me I guess? And it’s still kind glitchy, even after I finally got it into an acceptable configuration.

Apart from the board itself, how do you like the G20 caps? I have a hard time imagining how laptop-flat with full travel would feel.

I shared your concerns, but I’m an Alien freak, and no price was too high for me to own these. And I turned out to really like the typing experience. Obviously different than my usual SA, but I like to mix things up, and these are super fun. The matte finish on Signature Plastics’ G20 and SA-P keycaps is positively luxurious.

Could probably throw in the keychron v5/v6 (pro). They’re very similar to the q line boards, but cheaper

I feel like Keychrons don’t have enough fun stuff. I like the LCD on the S98. And I definitely want a knob.

The LCD is nice to have for sure. The v series does have a knob, or the option for it for sure. I just like that keychron does qmk firmware, and figured the v series was in that low to mid price you mentioned
