For myself, I am obsessed with cape dresses over the past few months. Unfortunately, i have no idea where I would often wear a cape dress and it would date itself quickly.

Day to day, I love the look of blazers with shorts and button down tops, but I don’t feel like either suit me because I look much wider/bigger than I actually am. I prefer and feel more comfortable in outfits where my waist is emphasized and which are more form fitting.

High waisted pants/trousers look weird on me, because I have long legs and a short torso and a high waist emphasizes both, but not in a good way.

this is interesting, i also have long legs and a short torso and i think this is why i wear high waisted bottoms - i feel they make me look better than medium rise outfits which tend to cut me in halfway

I love the way shift/trapeze dresses look on other people. I love this dress, but as a person that’s larger in the chest, they always just looks like a circus tent on me.

(Disclaimer: I don’t know much at all about trends. I’m excited to read what people have to say in this community.)

I like overalls but can’t imagine how to make them cute (oversized? cinched at the waist…? boxy?). I feel like I’d drown in them, all the fabric and all the sweat everywhere.

I love the way dresses look on other people, and they’re one of the few types of clothing that really look good on me. I just hate wearing them

Middle length skirts. They look lovely, just not on me.

Also very large coats. :( again, lovely, but *not on me.

likewise for me ! the extra fabric really swallows me up, it looks really bad. for my bodytype i think more fitted/defined waist type outfits work better, maybe it’s the same for you?

Same same. And not everything is super boxy and hard to find coats with a defined waist. Oh well, I’ll stop buying new stuff for now and wait for the trends to change.
