Can anyone advise on a best course of action?

I usually bring this yukka in over winter but decided to leave it outside this time. Obviously I’m regretting this decision now as extremely strong winds caused some nasty damage.

The yukka has 3 heads and the new growth on one of them (see pic) has been damaged. Ive left it a couple of months now (extremely approximate guess) and it looks as sad as the day it happened.

Is there a way to save it or do i need to amputate?

Any advice is welcome.
