I’ve only gone through 3 books of the whole series and 2 of which were DEATH books, so, I do like DEATH, and my favorite line is “WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT FOR THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?” in the Book Reaper Man. So, tell me what are your Favorite lines and Favorite characters?

I don’t know the exact wording but I love the line “It does not stop being magic just because you figured out how it works” from the first Tiffany Aching book The Wee Free Men.

This is probably not the one you meant, but it made me think of this quote from Monstrous Regiment:

“The place was one of those nowhere villages that existed only to order to avoid the embarrassment of having any large empty spaces on the map.”

I’ll give a more comprehensive list later but the two that immediately come to mind are:

“Either all days are holy, or none are” - Feet of Clay

    And

“Tak doesn’t ask us to think of him, he just asks us to think” - Thud

I got shivers the first time I read Feet of Clay. A literally voiceless group of people had secret, yet highly emotional meetings and communicated through writings on the wall. They made a leader out of their own body parts to lead them to a better place. They put so much hope into this leader that it went mad, because how could one person be all of those things. He freed the treacherous goat so it would be released from the burden of leading other animals to their demise, but the fooling goat stood still and didn’t move! Just breaking it down like this is making me tear up. Granted, I had a tough day at work. But still. Dorfl might just be my favourite Discworld character, along with Sybil Ramkin and Lu-Tze
