It’s been a while since I’ve grown anything. With everything that’s happening in the world I decided to restart doing things for myself.

It’s a little late in the season so let’s see what actually grows. Enjoy!

Yeah, last year we already hit 100° f in May. That’s not usually normal so I’m hoping that this year is less intense.

I think I’ll install a shade this year so I can continue to grow in the summer.

Oh man. It’s normal for it to be 30c then snowing and frost the next day.

So I got myself a cold frame so I can restart putting stuff outside to harden. It’s quite the shock with basically no “spring”.

Shade can double as critter and pest protection too.

Just too hot? By the time you can plant brassicas here it’s already too hot so they bolt, but idk if shade will help as it’s soil temp I think?

You’re right about the bolting. I’m wondering if they grow at least for a bit, enough to harvest something before they do.

Do you really need an automated water distribution system for what looks like a 1.5m² patch?

Well in my area by 8 am it’s ~80° f and literally 100% humidity. So I’d rather just turn on the timer and go back inside.
