There’s an exploit where people are mass registering bot accounts on instances with open signups. Turn on captchas or you may get defederated if botters find this place.
Hm but my Registration Mode is “Close Registration” as far as I understand nobody can create an account here.
Oh maybe it just looked like it was going to let me register. I didn’t try to complete it.
Yeah the UI is very weird in this regard, when you fill in everything and press “Sign up” it just shows the spinner for ever. Instead I’m hoping they remove the Sign Up link in the top and the route too when the registrations are closed.
Another weird thing about the UI is that I can’t find any way to show the list of users on my instance as a admin.
That’s odd. Surely that’s something they’ll implement. Can you at least see the total amount?
