My wallet is beyond time to replace. Any recommendations?

I use my SO to carry my cards/cash, that way its not my fault if anything is lost and i have more space in my pockets for knifes (= Nowadays you don’t need a wallet anyhow (=

Most days I carry a Mountain Voyage Carbon Fiber look wallet (Ridge knockoff that is about 1/2 the cost) and I really like it, but these kinds of wallets are not for everyone. I have about 8 cards in it and cash under the money clip.

When I am out hiking, going to the beach, etc., I prefer the Chums Surf Short zip wallet, which is an amazingly functional and durable wallet that costs around $12. I like it so much I could probably carry it every day if I didn’t have the Mountain Voyage wallet.

I love my old Saddleback bifold. It was pricy, but it’s still in great shape 10+ years later. It’s also a bit bulky, but that’s by design to keep them durable.

I’m really tempted to get the front pocket id wallet myself… yeah, it’s a bit pricey at about $85 CAD after shipping and exchange, but it seems like it should be worth it. My current wallet is falling apart.

Use a small leather cardholder from Tanner Goods and when I have cash just use a rubber band to strap it to the wallet.

This is what I carry. I know it’s a bit out of fashion for Instagram, but it’s a darn nice wallet.

I have a Frankengull by Benjamin Bott. Good strong leather, relatively slim/minimalist but not super minimalist. Holds a driver’s license, a few cards, one card for easy access, can hold a few bills folded up.

What are you looking for? I personally tried Ridge and Bellroy wallets are some of their copies. Never got into that minimalistic of carry. I still needed somewhere to carry a few more cards and cash. I ended up with a veg tan leather slim bi-fold. Has worked great and formed a nice patina.

I use the peak design phone stand wallet. Not great for everything so I still have a backup one, but really convenient for day to day tasks

I’m a big fan of the thin card carrier with a money clip concept. I got a leather one as a gift, but I’d have a synthetic fabric one if I was buying now. My clip is external, but I’m curious about the ones that fold around the cash. I carry 5 cards, and 4-8 bills (depending on change I’ve gotten back).

No coins. Apple Pay with my Watch whenever possible.

Not sure what kind of wallet you are looking for (tri-fold, minimalist, etc) but I am a huge fan of my Dango D01 Dapper. It’s way smaller than my old leather tri-fold but holds 5 cards in the back and around 2 in the leather front pocket, and can open a bottle pretty well with it’s metal frame. Plus, it looks pretty slick and comes in different styles and metal/leather color combos.

I highly recommend skipping the multitool that you can buy for it. Speaking from experience, it’s definitely not worth it imo

I bounce between a Secrid Miniwallet, Trayvax Summit, Gerber Barbill, and most recently got stuff on sale for to assemble my own Travaxy Summit Notebook which I’ve been carrying. All have been pretty great, and I switch depending on what I might need to carry. All are good for front or back pocket carry with the Secrid and Summit Notebook being thickest but still doable for back pocket. Kind of wish I could mish/mash features between the Summit and Gerber. I like the Summit for the little place you can carry folded up cash but I’ve replaced the webbing with elastic which works better and wish it had an integrated bottle opener. The Gerber is similar in size, has elastic, and bottle opener, but no real spot for cash (though, you could just slide it under the elastic).

I use a leather bifold cardholder with a pocket for paper cash from woolworth for 7 euros.

It is so nice, I bought 3 more to have a lifetime stash of these.

I recently moved to a Pioneer Altitude Billfold. Great if you are looking for something that handles cash well and is still compact. Nylon, not leather, but still very stiff and luxurious feeling.
