That’s not newsworthy, IMO. Like the article highlights, bots make up the majority in games involving new players, so it wouldn’t be completely unexpected to see them elsewhere. Going by my own experience, I don’t think it’s common though and the article doesn’t claim otherwise.

Yeah definitely a difference between people running bot accounts, and game generated bot players (clearly labelled) to make up the numbers for real players to enjoy.
