This really isn’t bad. $0.10 / brick is the rough average for Lego sets, with licensed IP sets running higher and bulk sets of basic bricks running lower (this 790 piece bin is about $0.08 / brick). Some of the Star Wars sets run close to $0.15 / brick.

This set is about $0.11 / brick.

I was going to comment the same but I also feel like this metric gets less and less useful the further in time we go since they’re just filling sets with tons of 1x1 size pieces now which increases fidelity and piece count but still leaves you with a tiny set that costs $130.

Lego is getting a little ridiculous with their prices. Almost $60 for the tiny display of Ahsoka fighting Elsbeth from her show, almost $90 for the X-Jet from X-Men?!

I love Lego but it’s ridiculous what they charged for their licensed sets.

These are typically counterfeit sets that don’t have anywhere near the tolerance that real lego does. Legitimate retailers aren’t going to discount sets much below MSRP because there’s no reason to.

Ah, I thought you meant online. I’ve never seen much of a discount on Lego from retailers for sets that weren’t clearanced out. The points you get from the Lego store typically make up for your $5 discount that you might see at Target or wherever in my experience.

I see Lego have decided to go with the “Balrogs have wings” interpretation.

I hate that this is the now de facto design for a Balrog, most of all because it’s a cool monster design in its own right. Alas, check out the illustration for Durin’s Bane (the Moria Balrog) in The One Ring 2e. There they did a text-accurate Balrog and it’s amazing, I think you can find it online, and Anna has the book archived I hear
