This is a bit specific to my flavor of ADHD but might help others too. Start the thing now. Don’t wait, don’t make an excuse, just start working as soon as possible. If you don’t finish it before something else comes up that’s fine, but if you put it off you’ll probably forget and never start.

Old style cleaning products like bicarb of soda and white vinegar clean as well as expensive sprays. Get an old spray bottle and fill with around 5 parts water to one part white vinegar, and BAM. Cheap as chips cleaning spray.

I find these sections of the wikipedia article amusing:
Alum may be used in depilatory waxes used for the removal of body hair or applied to freshly waxed skin as a soothing agent.
Potassium alum may be a weak irritant to the skin.
I guess it’s a soothing irritant? Have you found it to be either soothing or irritating?

Make physical to do lists that you take with you when doing the thing so you don’t forget what you went into the other room for.
