      The difference is in the messaging.

      I fully support Ramaswamy illegally downloading some Eminem tracks to listen to in the comfort of his own home.

      However, using those songs as an advertisement for your presidential campaign carries an implication that the artist supports you and your policies.

          Rap God came out in 2013, ten years doesn’t seem particularly egregious when the artist is still alive. It’s not like Eminem is a long dead musician and the catalogue owners are trying to make a few bob. He’s a living and working artist who has the right ti decide what causes his art is attached to.
