Chiiled out coffee & cake for me today, hoping I avoid forecasted storms, cos I can’t be arsed taking a jacket.

Currently de-icing my freezer. If you’ve got nothing else going on, this is a reminder to de-ice yours too!

Walked the dog first thing this morning, by 8am it was too hot for him.

Off to the indoor skate park later to shelter from the sun. Happy Sunday!

Trying to figure out how I’ll be able to sleep when 40c in July rolls around. Also looking for cold dinner ideas 🛒

I declare this post fake news because I do not want to believe 40C is happening in July.

…it’s not really happening, right!? I already think 30C is bad enough.

It’s gonna happen and will continue to happen. We need to get our shit together and start making some changes.

I mean yeah, it’s gonna get hotter as time goes on, I agree, I’m mostly just asking if it’s going to be 40C in July this time. While I do need to prepare for it, I’d rather not spend on it just yet if I don’t have to this year.

Putting up curtains (inc poles and rails etc), as a continuation of the whole moving-house process. Done the living room: the gigantic orange and dark green '50s floral pattern which my SO has been longing to get out of storage is now very much a feature of that room. Hopefully it will keep some of the heat out. Bedroom next.

A fairly simple job really: most of the time has been spent either in finding the tools in the shed or in looking for the thing that I had in my hand just 5 minutes ago. The older I get the more sympathy I have for Three Men in a Boat’s uncle Podger…

Wow I didn’t realise it was pushing 30° down south today. Only 17° here which is a nice break from the heat. On nightshift tonight so been napping on the couch most of the day. Started playing another idle game (Evolve) which I fear my consume my life for a while.
