    Outside looking in on this its almost as if they are trying to kill that product line off. The cost jump between the Mac Pro and Mac Studio is atrocious. Looks like the only major benefit being some PCIe slots (that is restricted in compatibility anyways) along with additional Thunderbolt ports.

      Well and also upgradable storage. But that’s about it.

      It’s a huge price jump, and could almost be justified if it supported at least more RAM and a GPU.

      You’d be surprised. I worked with some people who had ~1TB of RAM on their Mac Pros. Mostly doing big data modeling.

    I think the number of people who would buy dedicated graphics cards is pretty limited. Yes there’s a market but since gamers aren’t on Mac anyway, it’s limited to only a handful of high end professionals in demanding fields.

    The thing is, those high end professionals are sort of Apple’s more loyal users.
