I’m looking for a clean version of spotify without ads for android. Now I’m using an old spotify mod (2021) I found in mobilism, that is not obfuscated with Smob so I can be sure the app is clean because I can decompile and compare it with the original unmodded apk (the mod is ~20-30 lines, but not easy to replicate in newer apk versions).

The problem with the recent mods (after 2021) is that they are obfuscated and you can’t be fully sure there isn’t dangerous code. The solution could be revanced but they don’t produce spotify mods that remove ads.

What do you use?

UPDATE: Why not mobilism or xmanager? -> Mobilism and xmanager have both obuscated spotify mods. A forum like mobilims is trusted but is very different from a forum like cs.rin.ru where cracks are checked by a lot of subreddits, private trackers, users etc. In my opinion in a forum like that someone can upload an infected crack (I found some in the past years, you need to decompile them and you can find folders of class/codes with names like “bot”, “injection” etc…), the user can be banned but he/she can also register again without problems and post again. Instead in private trackers after a ban you are lost, the story is completely different. Unluckily there arent private trackers for apk mods. The same can be applied to 4pda forum.

Haven’t tried it myself but I think ReVanced Manager also supports Spotify.

Are the ReVanced mods obfuscated or what’s the problem here? Everything is open source on GitHub.

Oh, I just saw Spotify in the list and assumed there’s a patch to remove the ads. Sorry for the noise then.
