Is creating new communities possible right now? Or will it be? There is a feature request on github from January last year without any comments, so I wondered if it is even desired.
It’s probably low priority, because it would be a rarely-used but relatively complex feature that requires mainenance. Think of community maintenance also. I’d see no real need for it in the Jerboa application, as that can be done through the website just as easily. My personal opinion.
My specific problem is that the lemmy part of the fediverse is blocked by my workplace firewall, so I’m kind of forced to use the app atm.
I opened the communities over at kbin though, so they will be accessible from here anyways.
It was a few days ago. But it looks like it’s stuck now when I try to create new ones. Probably too much traffic at the moment.
