A coalition of local officials from across the country are calling on Congress to oppose proposed legislation that will allow an increase in the length and weight of large trucks traveling on commercial highways.

“Longer and heavier trucks would cause significantly more damage to our transportation infrastructure, costing us billions of dollars that local government budgets simply cannot afford, compromising the very routes that American motorists use every day.”

A semi is rarely going to avoid an accident except by braking no matter how heavy or light it is, and trailer brakes are rated by weight. And the difference in acceleration between getting hit by a truck 10 times the weight of your car and 15 times isn’t going to be that significant.

            Sigh.

Tell me you don’t understand the basics of car crashes by acting like an arrogant cunt, I guess

If you hit a semi head on, you’re only going to slow it down by a few mph. Cutting that number in half doesn’t change your delta v much. And there was no call for you to act like a complete jackass lacking in all social skills.
