    I agree with you that it’s a personal choice. I was replying to someone who seemed to imply that it wasn’t, and was suggesting that someone who eats meat can just stop doing it. I think that, for some people or some cultures, transitioning to a vegan diet isn’t that easy.

      Er, sorry but I don’t understand the distinction you seem to be making between a personal choice and something that you can just stop doing.

      Choosing to partake in a culture is still a choice, yeah?

        I can think of a few cases where taking part in a culture is not entirely a personal choice. Peer pressure, tradition or religion sometimes deprives one of their freedom to choose.

        I never said it because I don’t think it had something to do with the question I was asking. The issue is relevant to me, and you assume too much.
