This hole was left by a previous climber, but I slid into it on the way past.

Whats the general instructions in a situation like this? Lift your bike out with a friend? Tie a rope to it and use a tree trunk like a pulley?
How did you get it out OP?
Pick it up with my arms, and if I can’t get traction going uphill again, turn around and go down instead.
