I play a bit of strumming and fingerpicking very slowly because I don’t play often. I took some lessons about 10 years ago but synth is my focus so my skill level is still abysmal.

Same here… I’ve been playing for 30 years but I’m terrible. I usually play repeated muted notes because I like how they sound. A lot of delay to hide my mistakes and bad timing. When I’m feeling adventurous I do a simple pentatonic solo.

Your probly better than you think. (; I know I’m SUPER hard on myself. To the point where I either just put the guitar down that day, or just let it all go(and that’s when the magic really happens ime, but also the hardest part about playing I think)

Delay is very useful for keeping time, like a metronome. I find if I’m off, it’s almost worse with the delay cause the delay shifts too so your mistake is dragged out even further. I bet your timing is actually pretty good.

I love guitar. Drums are my favorite to play, like if I was gonna be in a band right now, I’d have to go drums, but I love writing on the guitar. I’ve only ever had one synth, a microkorg. Loved it to death. A synth would be cool to have but I’ve got enough GAS as it is and I’m spread pretty thin already lol.

I kinda suck at finger picking. I used to be fairly proficient at it back when I took a classical guitar class and had a playable acoustic. Now it’s just kinda my own weird version of the blues lol.

I almost got a microkorg but ended up with the Alesis Micron instead. I get the GAS comment. It is why I only have bare minimum for guitars because…why do they have to be so pretty? 🤣

For sure. I have 2 guitars. 1 playable, 1 not so much. I finally have my pedalboard pretty much how I want it. My drums are good to go. If I GAS it’s over studio stuff. But lately I’m pretty happy with just practicing or writing. I know in my heart I’ve got more than what I need yknow. It’s easy to want something. But when I start playing that stuff kinda disappears anyway lol
