    I bet Syria, Iran, and every other authoritarian regime in the world is salivating at this proposal.

    It would make it so much simpler to block the communications of the people protesting your government. Or effectively delete your political rivals from being seen on the internet.

    This tool would get used for so much worse than it’ll protect people from.

    The real internet will exist outside of the west or on Tor where it can exist beyond the west’s totalitarian government control.

    Also the extra barrier to get to these spaces will weed out normies.
