It’s pretty good everywhere, LTE, which is extremely surprising and lucky as I’m living in a village with just E everywhere, especially the woods, except there’s LTE again just 20m away in the next house. While on the way, especially on the train, it’s OK. Sometimes no connection, sometimes LTE. The Deutsche Bahn ofc kriegt es nicht geschissen to deliver a working, up to standard, captive portal for their WiFi. It works with Android, not with Linux - no connection to anything, not even the Gateway. So I rely on a mobile connection, it’s OK when just using it to google stuff and streaming things from the phone.
Anyway, what you are mentioning is also true for me partially; the add-on kitchen is somehow a perfect cage, blocking not only mobile data but also DECT and the WiFi from the main router in the basement, second router 10m apart in the garage and repeater on the second floor. The downside of german engineering I guess. I don’t know what the rest of the house is specifically made of, but I believe just bricks then.
